Body Painting at Burning Man

One of my lovely friends always wanted to wander around in full body paint. At Burning Man 2010, she had her chance! I used an oil based blue body paint for most of the coverage, and added the mountain landscape using some high-quality water-based body paint crayons.

In high school I played around with the idea of the "living still-life". This is a photo from a series of drawings and paintings with that theme.

Art Show Posters

At the University of Texas I was tapped to design the posters for the Plan II art show. The first poster was my very first attempt at Photoshop, which I think came out rather well for a newbie! I liked the butterfly theme (life as an art, or art coming to life!) so kept it running all four years.

Graphic Design, Sierra Club

I interned briefly for the Sierra Club in 2005, and designed several flyers and informational pamphlets for the Mexico Project, which was sadly terminated later that year for lack of funding. I am showing here the informational pamphlet that I designed for the Mexico Project, using InDesign. This was the first time that I had used InDesign, but luckily I found it to be very user friendly! I designed also the little buttons used to show the different issues that the Mexico Project addressed.

The pamphlet prints on an 11"x17" paper, and folds in three parts such that when it is folded you see the picture of the tires and the SC logo, and the two black stripes: Mexico Project, Beyond the Borders.
